Designing Solutions for Internship Relocation Anxieties

Challenge

Students interning in new cities often face challenges in building connections and navigating unfamiliar environments. This project explored how to mitigate these anxieties through user-centered research and design.

My Contribution

Conducted user interviews and photo elicitation activities to gather insights into emotional and social challenges. Analyzed findings to identify trends and developed design recommendations for support systems.

Outcome

The study revealed that pre-existing connections, living arrangements, and co-intern relationships significantly impacted participants' experiences. This informed potential solutions like enhanced onboarding processes and city-specific community platforms.
